Open Data Kit has received the 2011 Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Industry Achievement Award (IAA) for Best Use of Technology in Government, Non-Profit, or Education. The IAA recognizes Washington State companies, organizations and individuals who best demonstrate technology and service innovation and excellence.

These finalists represent the most creative and innovative companies and individuals in our industry and deserve the highest congratulations,” said Susan Sigl, president and CEO of the WTIA. “We’re fortunate to live and work in a state with such a diverse and vibrant technology community.”

ODK joins other UW CSE projects recognized by the IAA, including OneBusAway (2010 winner) and Living Voter’s Guide (2011 finalist).

Thanks to the University of Washington, Google and the growing community of developers, implementers and users for making this possible.
